5 Ways To Be Happy

We all have them days where everything is going wrong and we just want to curl up into a ball and hide. However instead of putting up with defeat why not tackle it by being happy. Here are some ways which personally make me more happier, hope it helps!

The Right People

Growing up you tend to move around various friendship groups as your personality and outlook on life changes during time. If you are feeling bewildered, insecure and are unable to say you're view without fear of rejection, stand up and move. Move on. I for one use to hang around with people I knew since I was a little girl, by the time I was 13 though, it all changed. I was generally more mature ( big headed, sorry) than them in the respect, they used to talk behind peoples back. Do I really need this? I asked myself, the answer is always no to that situation. I gradually moved to my current friendship group, people I have known since nappies, however their outlook on life is positive, which makes me positive and happy.

Be Healthy

This might appear as a chore to some, cutting out that take away and putting down the chocolate bar, however it doesn't have to be like that! If you have a diet full of bad sugar and fatty foods it will not only affect your health but also your energy. It has been said that dark chocolate is a great mood boost, as it has a special chemical called anandamide which apparently blocks out the feeling of pain and depression. Also drinking plenty of water to keep you hydrated and glowing throughout the day can not only help clear blemishes of your skin but make you feel happier!

Keep Fit

When I say keep fit I don't mean going on endless runs and hours at the gym. I simply mean doing an activity that suits you. For example, I do Yoga twice a week for 40 minutes each time before I go bed. This is because yoga helps to calm and relax the mind and body through slow movements and meditation. As an extra bonus it helps keep you fit and toned from moving your muscles regularly. Or just going on small walks around your town with your dog or a friend can help release toxins from your body and from the gentle walk you'll feel refreshed.

Do What You Please

If you're feeling down and you like a soppy film, watch that film! I recommend, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Bridget Jones, Sunshine on Leith and of course Grease! If you like baking, go and bake some cupcakes and enjoy eating them after! Do whatever your hobby is! I love doing art so I'll normally sit down at my desk, tea by my side, and start sketching away to my hearts content!

Diary Keeping

Honestly, keeping a diary, whether its a daily one or just a page when you need it, can help release any negative thoughts running through you. However not only write out your troubles but make sure you spend plenty of time on the positives, you made a new friend? Write about it. You tried a new hobby? Write about it! That way when you are down you'll be able to look back on the positive pages and think ' I did that' ' That was a good day'.

Hopefully this helped, I am no doctor or Councillor, just a teenager who wants to help! Leave me blog post suggestions below for beauty/ fashion or further advice, I'd be happy to do it!
